Profile

Where am I connected at Christian City Church?
I live downstairs in the Dudley's home and attend Jessica's connect group. I also have created my own pottery painting connect group. (Which is really fun and you really do need to join it.) I also attend Claire Ryan's Bible study group, and I have recently joined a bunch of other fun groups thanks to this networking tool! And, you will find me all over this amazingly awesome website.
About Me:
I am all about creativity. I love creating mixed media art, altered art, digital photography, greeting cards and painting pottery. I enjoy going to botanical gardens, nature parks/trails and thrift stores.

My top 3 values in life are: Creativity, Passion, and Personal Growth.

I have a huge burden on my heart for other artists. I love love love artists of all kinds in all places. It is my mission to minister in whatever way possible to creative people.

I am an Early Childhood Educator and work with toddlers.

I have a cat named Ginger and am about to adopt a new kitten in a few weeks!

It's A Girl!

Announcing the arrival of my new little kitten Starla Ruby! She is 8 weeks old and weighs a little over 2 pounds. She is energetic, affectionate, and has the cutest little mew. My 4 year old cat Ginger is not so happy about the new addition to our "family," but I'm trusting that given a few more days she'll come around and see that this is a friend for her to be with, not an enemy. Here are some pics of Starla: … Continue

Major breakthroughs

God is amazing. He really is. There has been a lot of work done in my life the past few weeks. Major breakthroughs have been accomplished. I went to see a man for a deliverance prayer session. I had never been through ANYTHING like that before. It was odd, and I do not fully understand it, and probably never will. But all I know is since then my life has been opened up in a whole new way. In addition to the deliverance prayer, a lot of people have invested time into my life by praying for, encou… Continue

my new kitten!!

One of my co-workers has a cat who recently had 4 baby kittens. I am going to be getting one of them!! It is still too early to tell for sure whether or not it is a girl or boy. Last week I was pretty sure it was a boy. This week I actually think it is a girl. Only time will tell. It is 3 weeks old now. I have 5 more weeks of waiting until I can adopt it. I have been going over to my co-workers home to visit the kitten so it can start to get to know me and bond with me. If the kitten is a girl… Continue

I see seeds.

God is so amazing. Does anyone else notice this? Today I talked with a friend who is very new to faith and is learning what it looks like to trust God and let go in even the most hopeless of situations. The phrase that has followed me around the past few days is from Romans 4. "Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed..." This is what I tried to say with my words to my friend today. She sees no hope and feels her help and love has gone unnoticed. While she sees nothingness, I see seeds that… Continue

Joshua Days

And so, once again I find lessons and messages repeating themselves over and over again in my life. God speaks to me through repetition a lot. This time around it is all about Joshua. I think I am being called on a Joshua mission. The very first Bible verse I memorized as a young teen was Joshua 1:9: "Be bold and strong, banish fear and doubt; for remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." God knew I would lose confidence a lot throughout my life. He knows I struggle with fear of… Continue

Hey girl, I saw you last night towards the front rows but left in a hurry because Stephen had to take us home due to plans he had right after church. I miss you too!! I hope you are well. See ya Sunday.

Hey you! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I was a bit of a mess at the bible study. It really has been a whirlwind these last months. It's comforting to know I have friends like you in my corner supporting and cheering me on. I'm going out of town until next Thursday. When I get back, I'll give you a shout - let's do that coffee date!

Gabby, are we just making centerpieces for our tables? Are the tables just for seating or is there going to be food? How about giving me the straight on this, because I am confused. Love ya!

I am so glad that you are joining the design team! Your artistic talent will be put to good use and I'm sure the ladies at your table will love it! I asked Teresa R. to do a table, also. I will also give each table designer a partner to go recruit people to come sit at your lovely table. You can also ask a friend ahead of time to sit with you if you like.
Thanks again,
Claire
