About Me:
I am a tennis teaching professional who loves working with aspiring juniors and beginners of any age. My goal is to own my facility and coach at the college level. Now, I do this for fun. My day job is a manager of an engineering team at Cisco. I am currently back in college finishing up my Bachelors degree in Business Administration at Shorter College. It is accelerated and therefore lots of work in a short amount of time. I will graduate in December of 2009.

I love to bike, travel, and spend time lounging on a beautiful beach. One of those beautiful beaches is in Jamaica. I do a working vacation every year there and teach tennis at one of the beach resorts. I am a huge football fan and my son and I love the Falcons and catch every game. I also am a big Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Hawks fan.

My family is awesome. Teresa and I have been married 23 years and she does an incredible job homeschooling our daughter (Carmen). Carmen loves arts and crafts and is a very good tennis player (my future partner on the court). Phil is a junior at the School of Music at Georgia State University and plays keys for the C3 Worship Team. He is majoring in sound recording and production. Hey, check out his latest worship song on my main page (God of Light).

I love the culture and vision of C3. Being at C3 over the last four years has taught me to live big for God and embrace the incredible life he has for me. No holding back and full speed ahead by the power of the Holy Spirit. I can't wait for what lies ahead.

Small wins are wins

I rode with the Team C3 Cycling Team today and even though I didn't go all the way, I accomplished several things on the ride. I rode the longest distance to date for me and I made it back to the starting point without incident. At one point, my legs were hurting and my lungs were burning and I wanted to stop. I pushed through anyway. I had small "wins" along the way today. It's the same point I make with my tennis students that are starting to compete. They are losing 6-1, 6-1 and wondering why… Continue

2 miler

Whether at home, work, or church, we have opportunities all the time to serve one another. In Matthew Chapter 5, Jesus, while teaching the sermon on the mount, talked about going the extra mile. The first mile is all about expectations or better yet, what is expected of us in our marriage, on the job, or serving in the House of God. When we go the second mile, we are saying to the people around us that we are committed to relationship and connecting with one another. This shows that we can be se… Continue

Hi Derwin! Did you not hear? this is the new dress code for C3 starting Sunday. Just joking. :-) Actually, this is the only photo of me on my work laptop that I used to register for this cool site. So for now I am stuck with my business headshot. I need to get a more casual photo that fits my laid back style and the culture of C3.

Anyway, it's good to be on board at C3. God certainly used you to encourage me to bring the family to C3 to check it out and Julie and I are so glad we came to see it for ourselves. THANKS.

Thank you for the welcome. We are usually at the 11AM, come say hello. I'll be the bald guy that's married way over his head and lugging around a butterball baby boy.
