In September, we had one of the most amazing leader and volunteer meetings ever. As we worshiped and prayed together in the presence of God, Ps Dean spoke boldly declaring a word from God over our church. The altar was filled with people being touched in healing, jobs, vision, dreams, serving, and church planting.
The night was filled with celebration for the many amazing accomplishments we shared through the summer quarter: "Party in the Park" our 5k race at Suwanee Park with over 3,0

''That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again'' (John 3:6-7).
Under the New Covenant, every child of God has the Spirit of God. First, they are born of the Spirit. Then they can be filled with the Spirit. And they can expect to be led by the Spirit.
Born of the Spirit. The spirit of man is the part of man which is born again. The Christian's spirit has the life and nature of God in it. The inw…

In my 2.4 with God this morning, I went to the field manual for life; the Holy Bible. My heart is unhappy and burdened for this great Country and Nation that God has given us and how it is being destroyed by men filled with wayward, sinful desires of the heart. Bible verses such as Jude 1:10-19 and 2 Tim 3:1-9 and many others, warn about the end time apostates and false teachers and how we should turn away from them. The Bible teaches us that having a Godly character in these last days is more i…

"Special Delivery, Please sign here." The Postman just made my day. I got a Special Delivery! It was a good mail day! I love the good ones. I recently got a $35. check from our electric company. We're part of a co-op, so if we use electricity efficiently they return some of the savings to the customers. I've gotten one every year! Those deliveries are welcome any time. Others, not so much. Sometimes mailboxes contain things marked, "Collections Dept"; or "Disconnect Warning"; or "Dear John..."…

Last night a dear friend of mine called me and wanted to come over and talk. I've known him for years and we are very good friends. I love him as a brother in Christ. We share books on the Bible; many topics pertaining to the Love of God. We read the books and then get back with each other and discuss what the Lord is telling us.
We ARE searching for the truth of God's word together. He has been praying for God to show him THE TRUTH for many months and God is revealing His love to him. There is…

And that same day, when the evening had come, He said unto them, " Let us pass unto the other side"...Mark 4:35
What "same day" was this verse referring to when Jesus told His disciples to sail to the other side of the sea of Galilee? The "same day" was the day Jesus taught the multitudes and His disciples the parable of the good and bad ground and the sower and the seed. Mark 4:1-8 Why is this important to know? When Jesus finished teaching this parable, He asked His disciples if…

I have found that the holy spirit will lead you down different paths to learn the truth about God's word if you ask for wisdom. Proverbs 2:6 states "For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." So if you ask for wisdom, God will give it to you. There are 5 examples of getting wisdom in the Bible: Joseph
(Gen 41:38-39), Moses (Ex 4:12), Solomon (1Ki 3:12; 4:29), Daniel (1:17; 2:23) and Stephen (Acts 6:5, 10). On a side note, I read a book many years ago about…

The real Mother's Day is yet to come
by Barbara Rainey
My first memories of Mother's Day are sitting in church as a child as the
minister recognized all the mothers. I remember them standing in
recognition of their day. I also remember them all wearing a corsage.
The ones whose mother's were no longer living always wore white flowers
and the mostly younger moms wore a red or pink corsage. It was a tradition
in that ge…

Last night I heard the voice of God… Yes, the very voice of God calling down from heaven… In His best Jack Nicholson saying, “You can’t handle the truth!” Then God laughed!
I’m glad God has a sense of humor. I’m glad He can even joke with us. We definitely humor Him at times (perhaps even more than we would like). I think He humors us as well.
The reality is that we can’t handle the truth! Ten of twelve spies couldn’t handle the truth about the size and strength of the enemy in the Promised La…

I really enjoy digging deep into God's word to find the hidden secrets or "Sod"; to uncover 'things' pertaining to the end- times, healing, prosperity, ie: things concealed, things revealed. These are deep truths that were hidden in the Torah but now have been revealed.
I research many sources to find the things concealed in the Bible. The notion that things concealed are the foundation for things revealed is very interesting to me. I have a Dake's Annotated Reference Study Bible. I've had it f…

As our great pastors always do, somehow they always preach on those things most relevant in my life. I guess that I should feel sorry for other members of the congregation as those sermons are always written for what is going on in my life. For that I apologize to each and every one of you.
This Sunday (May 3, 2009) was no different in Pastor Dean's return to the pulpit, speaking on faith as a tangible and real thing. All of my life I have had faith in a
'believing' sense of what I can n…

Too many times we forget that we are being wqatch and people are making judgements on who we display ourselves to be. It is important for us to display the best person but sometimes it not who we are that others are seeing but someone or something very differently. Recently I was reminded of one of my gifts. The Lord had decided to highlight this gift to me . I was thinking about how this had gone down this morning and was about to blog about it when a different inspiration led me in a different…

I wanted to express the goodness of God. On the way home from running at stone mountain park this morning, I turned on my CD player and listened to 'For all you've done - Majesty - In awe of You' by Hillsong and the spirit of God immediately filled the car. The heaviness of the spirit was none like I have ever experienced before. I immediately started singing and praising Jesus Christ. Then track # 6 Glorify Your Name, started to play and Iost it. I had to pull over. I couldn't drive. I started…
