Hey guys..
I am a single mom and looking to either rent a basement apartment or share a home with another single mom. I can also help out with cooking, cleaning, and childcare too in exchange for help with utilities, rent, etc. I used to own an in home childcare facility. Particularly if you're another single mom looking to share expenses, then we can mutually benefit from one another, and our kids can benefit as well while they can play together.
My townhouse lease is up in January, with no chance of renewal. If you know of anything available please let me know, I am trying to figure out where my son and I will be living, as the holidays are approaching fast.
While I prefer to stay in the local gwinnett area, I am open to other possible locations.
Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who brought stuff for Andrew Foshee's care package box! You guys are amazing! Please either bring to church this Sunday or our last Dgroup Sunday Nov 1st.

All we have left is to find someone available to go over to their home in Braselton on Saturday Oct 31st from 2-5.

I checked in with Katie and Andrew and this was his response back for ideas on food and such.:
hi,
here are some ideas for food-beef jerky, trail mix, gum and mints, granola bars, cereal bars, toilet paper (charmin-good stuff), good hand lotion like eucerin, travel bottles of shampoo, canned fruit, shaving gel *can't ship shaving cream*...
that's all he came up with for now
thanks a bunch,
katie

This D-group is going to be a meeting on PURPOSE! Love that we get to help out the Foshee family this month. Thanks for everyone's participation!
Don't forget to bring a little something on Saturday night for a care package. And you can also sign up for a meal or to help watch their kiddos.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at 5pm. Bring some munchies to share and $5 for child care. Let me know if anyone needs our address for directions.
Love,
Jes & Brian

NOTE FROM KATIE FOSHEE:
Thanks so very much for your kind letter.
I will let you know Andrew's needs when I talk to him next but he likes science fiction books, history books, and spy books.
He will be coming home here for 2 weeks of r & r in October.
I will give you more information after I talk to him.
Thanks again for your help in this matter.
Yes, he would appreciate the cards from the groups little ones.

I'll ask Katie and let you know what she says, but for books – Anything that GUYS would likely read. Though I do need to get to Books for less, they may give me a box of books.
Movies – Movie’s Guys would watch J not much help. Not chick flicks in other words

What kinds of books does he like? Any special interests like photography, hunting, sports teams, music groups, etc.?

Hi Dgroup friends! We are very excited to be blessed with being able to bless a member of our church family. The Katie & Andrew Foshee family! As you know Andrew Foshee has been deployed to Afghanistan and will be there until March 2010.

What we’d like to do is ask your you to help bless the Foshee family for this month of October.

Thank you all in advance for your love and support. Katie and Andrew really appreciate your TLC.

Here’s what we’ve been doing:

· Babysitting 2 Saturdays of the month on Katie’s days off.
October 10th - covered by Margaret & David Thomas (thank you with such notice) and still available and need to fill:
October 31st.

· One meal once a week on Wednesdays.
All remaining Weds still open till end of the month. Those of you preparing dinner, Katie has asked that you do not call ahead of time, but just drop off the meal to her house between 5:00 and 7:00 that evening. Someone will be there to receive the meal. (contact info below.) Also, please deliver the food in disposable containers that do not need to be returned. It will be for Katie and her 3 kids (2 teenage boys and daughter who is 2years old.)

. Send Andrew a care package for the month (I will send an updated list of items) Paul & Heather Probst will collect these and any other items you'd think will be suitable and bring them to Dgroup Saturday October 17 and the remain Sundays between now and of the month just give to Paul & Heather Probst.

· Take up an offering in order to ship items collected to Andrew. Go to the post office and ship the items to Andrew. Please note: the post office does have a selection of boxes you can use with pre-determined rates ( $10.95 per box) and you can fill it with no weight limit to the box. Please let me know if you need bubble wrap. I have plenty.

Here is an example of items that were collect in the past for Andrew, but I will get you a wish list.
· DVD’s that guys can watch
· Paperback books
· beef jerky
· nuts
· re-sealable containers like Ziploc or glad disposables to hold snacks
· batteries AA and AAA
· febreeze (spray bottle, not can).

Heather Probst will follow-up with everyone involved with meals and babysitting for the entire month of October. Katie should be kept in the loop on a weekly basis and Joe and I would like to be copied as well.

THANK YOU FOR BEING SO HELPFUL, LOVING AND GRACIOUS AS WE CONTINUE TO LOVE ON THIS FAMILY WITH YOUR HELP!!
